#1 We misuse God’s name when we use it in a profane or blasphemous way.

How is this law similar to the third commandment?
#2 We abuse God’s name when we use it in a way that is actually intended for our own personal gain.
Read Matthew 6:1-24.
What can we learn from Jesus about the importance of serving God for selfish gain?
#3 We refuse to honor God’s name when we’re not bringing Him glory with our lives.
Read John 15:8, 1 Corinthians 6:19-20, 10:31, 2 Corinthians 4:15, & 1 Peter 4:16.
